Author Bio

I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. At seven, I wrote my first “book” (a whole six pages and five chapters) about all of my friends and all of our pets getting abducted by little aliens that looked just like penguins. The aliens took us to Draco (at seven, I apparently didn’t realize you can’t land on a constellation) where we learned that they were really very nice, and then they brought us back home.

Ever since, I’ve been writing stories that mostly fall into the science fiction/fantasy genre. To support myself, I’ve spent several years working as a Data Architect, designing and coding databases (not unlike a certain “data transformer” I write about). I have an adorable cat named Katniss and I live in refreshingly cool Minnesota.

I love to hear from friends and fans alike. You can find me at Facebook or Twitter (links in the icons above), or email me at mail at daphnejriordan dot com. If you’d like to be the first to hear about new releases, special offers, and more, join my mailing list.

    Hey Daphne!
Love the Christmas letter as always. Can you send me your email address? I had a Dallas friend recently move to Minnesota and thought I should at least introduce the two of you.

    Cheers.
