It never rains, but it pours

Posted on November 20, 2006May 30, 2012 by Daphne

I don’t think I’ve mentioned this on the blog… in late October, I joined StomperNet. Since then, I’ve been just swamped. I’m learning a huge amount, but (naturally) it’s taking a lot of time. Considering the state of my finances, it’s very needed!

Which brings me to a sad decision I made a few days ago. I hit almost 20,000 on NaNoWriMo, but was struggling with splitting my time between NaNo and Stomper. I finally decided I needed to drop out of NaNo this year. It’s far more important that I get some money coming in, and I will be starting my MFA in a month and a half – I’ll get plenty of writing done then. For now, I need to stomp, and stomp hard.

Hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving (although I’ll be very, very surprised if anyone is reading this blog at this point.)
